Marina Costa Jackson Soprano
Marina is a first prize winner with the Giulio Gari Foundation, a 2014 Philadelphia District winner with the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, second place winner with the Marcello Giordani Foundation, a finalist in the prestigious Belvedere Competition, and a major award winner with the Opera Index.
Marina is a resident artist at the Academy of Vocal Arts (AVA) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Her upcoming roles with AVA include Mimì in Puccini's La Bohème, and Marguerite in Gounod's Faust. Previously, she was Liza in Tchaikovsky’s Pique Dame, and Amelia in Verdi’s Un ballo in maschera.
Born in Las Vegas, Nevada, Marina is Italian-American. She was raised in Sandy, Utah and Palermo, Italy. She currently resides in Philadelphia, PA with her Sicilian husband, Davide Biondo, and their Pomeranian, Sisi.
